1. Privacy-first intent
NovaShield is designed around privacy. We collect as little as possible and store nothing unnecessary.
2. What data we collect
Your account details (username, email) and — for security — basic device info when logging in from a new device (browser, OS, IP).
3. How we use data
To manage your account, run checks and protect you from unauthorized access. We do not sell your data.
4. Private results
Scan results are private by default. A PIN alone gives no access to a public result.
5. Screenshot at scan start
When a scan starts, one screenshot of the primary display is taken. This is part of the one-time verification you agree to before the scan begins, and is stored with the scan result.
6. Discord identification during a scan
If Discord is running on the device during a scan, we use Discord's own official linking mechanism to read only the scanned person's Discord user ID — never their password, login token, or messages. Discord itself shows the player a consent prompt for this. This ID is used to link the scan result to the correct Discord account.
7. Security
Passwords are stored hashed. Secure server-side storage for integrations and sensitive keys comes later — do not use local settings for production yet.
8. Your rights
Data export and account deletion are added once these features are fully available. You can already export profile data via your settings.
9. Contact
Privacy questions? The owner and data controller is Jamiro Merlino Belgraef, reachable at jamiromerlinobelgraef10@gmail.com. Support via Discord will be available once the community is live.
